A superb holiday destination in France, with a large swimming pool near Civray, Poitou Charentes. A detached stone built 4 bedroom cottage sleeping 8 and a stone built cottage sleeping 4 in two double beds. Situated on an old farm, both are completely self contained. Recently refurbished to a high standard and very comfortably furnished. Both cottages include dishwasher, TV, hi-fi, DVD player all utensils etc. with the addition of a laundry room in the larger cottage. With a 12m x 6m fully tiled swimming pool and plenty of space to relax this is the ideal location to enjoy the French summer - there is also a covered seating area out of the sun. Whilst the cottages are detached and private, we reside in the old farmhouse and will be available to help if needed. The cottages are cool in the summer and have wood burners and electric heaters to provide for comfortable stays out of the main season.
Location
Civray. Chez Robineau is in a rural location with our nearest neighbours around 400m away. Set just south of Civray, and within about 1.5km of Civray centre we are set in 15,000 sq. m. of gardens, surrounded by yet more fields and woodland but still only 20/25 minutes walk from the market on a Tuesday or Friday and within easy reach of plenty of shops, restaurants and bars. There are plenty of walks locally a favourite is along the banks of the River Charente and the newly formed towpath.
