Holiday rental Aubeterre-sur-dronne, France
Details
Dating back from the 16th century, when it was once part of a farmhouse, the south facing gite has charming open beams and stone walls. Outside there is a 2 and a half acre landscaped garden with trees and a "vista" of unbroken views of the French countryside. Night time is a star gazers dream.
The large kitchen/dinnng room doubles up as a lounge in which has English satelite TV and views of the picturesque countryside. The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge freezer, oven, microwave, kettle, coffee machine, toaster, cutlery and large mahogany worktops. There is a TV with english satelite and a fireplace with cast iron wood burner for which in winter we supply oak wood. The dining area has a large oak table that seats 12 people. Also downstairs there is a spacious hallway that leads outside onto the patio where you can find a small table and chairs that look onto the pool, garden and countryside.
As the hallway is very spacious we can provide another bed if there is need.. still leaving lots of room.
Upstairs we have 2 bedrooms and a seperate bathroom fitted with a shower over the bath. In the bathroom there is a vanity unit with a large mirror that has spot lights and a safe source of electricty for hairdryer or shaver etc. The main bedroom has a double bed, wardrobe and chest of draws with bed side lights and oak flooring. The second bedroom has single bunkbeds, chest of draws and with oak flooring that also continues onto the landing.
Location
The property is located in the quiet hamlet of Ragot in Laprade, 3 minutes from Aubeterre-sur-dronne in the charente, equaly about the same distance from the border of the beautiful dordogne where there are numerous activites and things to see for all the family. The river Dronne passes near the property where activities such as walking, cycling and fishing are popular as well as swimming. The dronne also diverts though Aubeterre where there is a sandy beach on the river bank and both canoeing/kayaking lessons and rental area available. There is a 9 hole golf course as well as crazy golf near by.

- 10 minutes from Chalais (Train Station)
- 1 hour from Bergerac
- 1 hour 20 mins from Bordeaux
- And just 3 and a half hour drive from Bayonne (on Spanish border)

Booking Conditions
We ask for a non-refundable 20% deposit made through paypal or by cash with recorded delivery. The rest of the fee must be paid on day of arrival and any damages will be charged for.
