Charming 18th Century cottage in rural tranquility Position: Cuves, just over a mile away has a bakery, small grocery store and café. Also about a mile away Le Moulin de Jean is an excellent restaurant. St Pois, slightly further, has a restaurant and more local shops. Brécey, where there is a swimming pool and supermarket is about four miles away along a quiet country road. Also close by (about ten miles) is Lac de Dathée, for sailing and fishing and with a golf course on its banks. St. Sever, 10 miles away for horse riding. About thirty minutes away are safe sandy beaches, at Granville, Jullouville and Carolles Plage and a little further away is Mont St Michel. The house is surrounded by over two acres of grounds dotted with fruit trees, with a water meadow and a small stream at the boundary of the property (safe for children as house and garden can be enclosed). Sunny terrace at the front of the house with garden furniture, barbecue and swings, slide and a small sandpit for children. Table tennis and darts in the extension.
Interior
This charming house has been in the French (English speaking) owners family for 200 years. Large living room with open fireplace, comfortable seating, table and chairs, French television, DVD and CD player. Kitchen corner, behind breakfast bar, with electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher, fridge with freezer compartment, electric kettle, toaster and electric cafetière. Shower room with basin and a separate wc. Upstairs three bright bedrooms with velux windows, two doubles and a small bunk room (suitable for children), also a sofabed on the landing. Bathroom with small bath, basin and wc. Washing machine. Electricity up to 100kw per week included. High chair and cot. Bed linen included and beds made on arrival.
