Charming country cottage, peaceful rural setting Position: Located in a very peaceful rural setting, the house is about three quarters of a mile away from the small village of St Clement with its one small shop and tennis court. About three miles away is the town of Mortain for extensive shopping, restaurants, swimming pool and tennis courts, famous for its Abbey and waterfalls. The slightly smaller market town of Sourdeval is just over four miles away. Just over half an hours drive from the sandy beaches of the Cotentin and about an hours drive from Mont St Michel. Some 45 miles from Caen, Bayeux and the Normandy landing beaches. Map reference C2/3 page 28.The house stands in a very spacious garden separated from the fields to the rear by a perimeter fence. To the front is the driveway for off road parking, more garden, an attractive gazebo and plenty of space to sit outside making use of the garden furniture, parasol and barbecue.

Interior

Entrance to the house through the kitchen/dining area with dining table and chairs. The well-equipped kitchen area has gas hob and oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, kettle, toaster and washing machine. Lounge with wood burning stove and two sofas one of which is a sofa-bed. Video player with TV screen (not television) and a small selection of videos. A wooden staircase leads up from the lounge to two bedrooms, a double room with extra single bed and a small double. Bathroom with wc. Cot and highchair. One basket of firewood included per stay. Bed linen and towels available at extra cost payable locally.
