Idyllic setting in peaceful countryside Position: The village of Condéon with its bakery, Post Office, church and tennis courts is about two and a half miles away along a delightful country lane. Barbezieux (markets on Tuesday and Friday), has plenty of shops and three supermarkets and is about five miles from the house. Ideally situated for visiting the distilleries of the Cognac region and great wine producing chateaux of Bordeaux. The beaches of Royan are just over an hours drive away as is the northern part of the Dordogne region with such attractive towns as Riberac and Perigueux, all well worth a visit. Off the beaten track but easily accessible, the house is surrounded by lawns and flower beds with, at the southern end, the  swimming pool (10x5m) with its sunny terrace, garden furniture and barbecue. Covered veranda at the front for al fresco dining. Large barn providing covered parking and table tennis. There is not a building in sight of the house, beyond the garden are fields and woods, the nearest neighbours are the friendly cows! Bicycles may be available.

Interior

At one end of the country house is a lovely big bright living room with high ceilings, open fireplace, sofa, armchairs, table and chairs. Kitchen with gas cooker, kettle, toaster and fridge/freezer. Bathroom and separate wc. Three bedrooms: two twins and one large double with en suite shower room and wc. Washing machine in the pool house. Cot available on request. Television. Bed linen and towels available at extra cost payable locally. Wednesday changeover.
