The magnificent walled city of Carcassonne with  hypermarkets and plenty of shops and restaurants, on the Canal du Midi is twenty minutes drive here there is also a superb 18 hole golf course. Vineyards and Cathare castles, the coast and the Pyrenees are all within easy reach. 4.The house is set in a peaceful wooded valley shared with the owners who live next door and below the house. Entrance through imposing gates to the enclosed garden with lawns and terrace with garden furniture and parasol. Just above this is the enclosed swimming pool (12x5m)which has a gently sloping shallow end, idea for younger children and which is surrounded by paving and lawns. There are swings and a barbecue.

Entrance into the impressive modern kitchen with double sink, five ring gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher, microwave fridge, freezer, washing machine and dryer. Very large split level living room with long table and benches and big open fireplace. Plenty of seating around the walls. Satellite television with English channels, DVD player and bar. Also on the ground floor, a bathroom with bath and shower and separate wc. Upstairs are three double bedrooms, two with queen size bed and wash basin. Shower room with two basins and separate wc. Large room in the style of an alpine chalet with three sets of bunks, en suite shower room with basin and wc. Satellite television and DVD player. Up steps from this room is a double bedroom on a mezzanine, with its window overlooking the bunk room. Telephone for incoming and local calls only. Wi-fi access. Bed linen included and beds made up.
