Walking distance to the village Position: The village has a grocery store, bakery and café 300 yards from the house. There are good restaurants in the surrounding villages of Pepieux and Olanzac where there is a supermarket. Narbonne and Beziers are each just over half and hour away, as is Carcassonne. The Canal du Midi is about eight miles away at Homps and La Redoute from where you can walk or bicycle for miles along the tow path. Lots of vineyards locally for wine tasting. The house is in the foothills of the Black Mountains where there are wonderful walks. The closest beach is about 40 miles away. Map reference C1/2 page 184Set well back from the road along a flower-lined driveway, the garden and pool (5x4m) with water jet, are at the back of the house, where there are lawns and a large terrace which is partly shaded with a naturally covered awning. Built in barbecue and garden furniture.

Large living room with two sofas around the open fireplace, dining table and benches and television. Kitchen with large gas cooker, five rings, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, table and chairs, off which is a utility room with washing machine and freezer. Also downstairs a double bedroom and separate wc and basin. Upstairs are two double bedrooms and a bunk room. Shower room with bidet and basin and a separate wc. Cot and high chair. Bed linen available at extra cost payable locally.
