St Julien is an exceptionally beautiful hamlet, the lane does not go much further than this house so very little traffic and one can walk down through the hamlet to the River Dordogne where there are several pebbly beaches

Picturesque village of Roque- Gageac built against the cliff side across the river

Cenac is just 3kms from the house with good restaurants, tennis, shops and canoeing

Sarlat is 20 min drive with its beautiful old sandstone buildings, their colours enhanced by years of sunshine

There is a music festival early July and a theatre festival end of July/early August where the ancient buildings of the central square form a stunning setting for the open-air plays during the evening

A little further is the famous town of Rocamadour built into the cliff side and the caves of Padirac which are ideal day trips

International airport: Bergerac 67km

The garden is lawned with a gravel driveway and looks west onto the Dordogne Valley, steps lead down to a lower part of the grounds and the private swimming pool 12 x 6 x 1 - 2.2m depth with security alarm

Some drops in the garden so take care with small children

For those who enjoy walking the immediate area is a walkers paradise! BBQ Interior of the house has beentraditionally decorated with simple furnishings. Main living room: this room runs the length of the house and has a fireplace on the same scale. Well equipped country style kitchen with dishwasher andmicrowave. Storage/laundry room with washing machine. Sep WC. Second living room on the lower ground floor with TV and CD player. Though both the kitchen and the main sitting room have a door to a small courtyard this is shared with a neighbouring house and the main entrance is from the garden into the second sitting room. Stairs to first floor. Bed 1: double. Bed 2: 2 singles. Bed 3: 2 singles more suitable for children as it is fairly simple. Bathroom and sep WC . Wrought iron cot on request.
