A lovely restored cottage, perfect for two people. Dating from the 17th century, the cottage has many unique features.
The gite includes a lounge with dining area, a kitchen (open plan to the lounge, but around a corner at the end of the L shaped room) and a bedroom and a shower-room. The lounge features the original A-beam structure wooden-beamed ceiling, and a half-timbered wall runs the length of the room.
There is also a DVD player and large flat-screen television. The kitchen has a full oven and also a washing machine.
Outside, the property has a lovely terrace / garden with far-reaching views across the countryside which is the highlight for many visitors as a very peaceful place to enjoy a barbecue and a glass of wine while enjoying the views.
The swimming pool (shared with our other gite at the property) is also very popular. It is large and in a sunny position, not overlooked at all, and surrounded by lawn and gardens.

The gite is situated in a peaceful location near Villeréal (with all facilities Villereal is a 2km walk along a quiet road), also near the medieval towns of Issigeac, Monpazier and Monflanquin, and Château de Biron. and 25 km from Bergerac (and Bergerac airport, a popular entry point for the region).
The Dordogne and Lot-et-Garonne are both on the doorstep so there is a very large number of places to visit and things to see - historic towns and villages, beautiful scenery, the Dordogne River itself... We also find that walking and cycling are very popular with our visitors dur to the quiet roads.
