Located in the heart of the Valley of the Allier river, in the magnificant historic village of Lavoute Chilhac, our holiday rental offers a wonderful setting to spend your vacation or a weekend. It is very convenient with small shops in the village, such as the bakery, cafés, the post office, butcher, a bar, some restaurants and the possiblity to rent canoes or kayaks. Lavoute Chilhac is unique not only for its richness in nature and history but as it is a "presqu'ile", meaning an "almost island." Hence, it is a village surrounded by water, immersed in the beautiful scenery of mountains.
Lavoute Chilhac is full of events and activities during the Summer months as well as Spring and Fall. There are plenty of paths to hike and places to relax by the river. If you like amazing scenery, the comfort of having the little shops down the street or a few restaurants, as well as the rental of canoes, you will love Lavoute Chilhac. You really don't have to take the car once you are there! Of course, there are plenty of things to see in the neighboring villages...and all around this lovely part of the Auvergne.
